Lone Star Structures began as a dream for Lee & Sadie Fisher. Both of them grew up on family farms in Lancaster, PA and saw the value of hard work firsthand. The desire to raise their family in a similar setting was instilled in their hearts and they set out to pursue that dream. They were drawn to the appeal of affordable land, open country and the friendly atmosphere that they found in Central Texas.
Their vision began to come to fruition during the early part of 1997 with the purchase of a tract of land in Lott, TX. Along with the property they acquired Beachy Buildings, a portable building business which had been established in 1983.
By the fall of 1997, the young Fisher family settled in on the 11-acre homestead in Lott and began pursuing their dream of a family owned business. A family friend came on board and together they designed and constructed their first building. It wasn’t long before production was in full swing.
Twenty-two years later this small enterprise has grown and expanded. Not only has the business grown but so has the family. Several of the boys have married and all seven of Lee & Sadie’s children are involved in this family venture. Their hardworking team also includes various employees and together they have more than 100 combined years of carpentry experience. Even though they are local and relatively small, Lone Star services the entire state of Texas!
The Fishers have always been interested in and involved with missions and helping those around them. In 2009 the entire Fisher Family followed God’s call to serve in Kenya, leaving Lone Star Structures in the care of their outstanding employee team. They spent 3 ½ years in the Great Rift Valley sharing the Gospel and ministering to the physically handicapped, many orphans and those mired in impoverished conditions. If you were to ask any one of the Fisher Family, they would tell you that those years were some of the best and most memorable times of their growing up experience. Since their time in Kenya, many of the individual family members have spent time overseas on humanitarian aid or disaster relief projects while still reaching out to their local community.
The Fishers are a part of the Mennonite community in Lott and are actively involved in their church. They believe and live in the timeless and old-fashioned values of honesty, integrity, good work ethics and doing the job right the first time. These values are more than mere traditions but are a lifestyle of Christ-centeredness that in turn bless their neighbors.
Lone Star Structures has earned a reputation for having the best value and workmanship in Central Texas. Their business continues to grow and has expanded to include various styles and options. In addition to their main location in Lott, TX, they also have a sales lot in Temple TX. Their online store allows you to browse and purchase their inventory around the clock.
